Food Recipies!
Ever since moving out of the house fron Taipei to LA, I've found myself missing the taste of home. Though not being that good in the kitchen, I've been practicing with various simple dishes. Here is a compiled list of some of those recipies!

Sauteed Chikuwa & Bell Peppers

Ingredients:

- 2 Bell Peppers
- 4 Chikuwa
- 1/2 tbsp Seasame Oil
- 1/2 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 3/4 tbsp Mirin
Steps:

1. Cut bell peppers into thin strips
2. Cut the chikuwa diagonally
3. Put seasame oil in fying pan, and sautee bell peppers on low
4. Then add the chikuwa into pan
5. Lastly, add soy sauce and mirin to pan
Karaage (Fried Chicken)

Ingredients:

- 500g of Chicken Thighs
- 3 tbsp Kewpie Mayo
- 4 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 tsp Mirin
- 1 tsp Minced Garlic
- 1 tsp Minced Ginger
- 100 grams Potato/Cornstarch
- Frying Oil
Steps:

1. Cut chicken into bite sized pieces
2. Mix mayonaise, soy sauce, mirin, garlic, and ginger
3. Marinate chicken in 2. for around an hour
4. Coat chicken in the potato/cornstarch
5. Lastly, fry on medium heat

Often eaten with lime, mayonaise, or other sauces.
Tamagoyaki (Rolled Omelette)

1 roll
Ingredients:

- 2 Medium Eggs
- 1 tsp Sugar
- A bit of Soy Sauce
- Pinch of salt
- Vegetable Oil

Special tool: Rectangular Pan
Steps:

1. Mix the eggs, sugar, soy sauce, and salt
2. Lightly coat the pan with some oil
3. Pour a thin layer off egg into the pan on medium heat
4. Roll it up
5. Add another layer of egg then roll
6. Repeat until all the egg mixture is used
Gambas al Ajillo (Garlic Shrimp)

Ingredients:

- 320 grams of Large Shrimp
- 5-6 cloves of Garlic
- 1/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
- Pinch of Salt (to taste)
- Parsley for garnish
- 320 grams of Olive oil
Steps:

1. Prepare the shrimp (defrost or devein)
2. Heat oil & garlic over medium heat until the garlic starts to brown
3. Add the shrimp and fry on one side until halway cooked
4. Season with salt & pepper flakes then flip
5. Fry until shrimp is barely cooked through
6. Sprinkle with parsley

Eat with lemon, garlic bread, and wine!
Konjac & Mushrooms

Ingredients:

- 200 grams of Konjac
- 4 Shiitake Mushrooms
- Pepperoncino to taste
- 1 & 1/2 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Mirin
- 1 tsp Water
- 1 tsp minced ginger
- 1 tbsp Seasame Oil
Steps:

1. Cut the Konjac & Shiitake into 1 inch cubes
2. Fry on medium heat
3. Add soy sauce, sugar, mirin, water & ginger
4. Finish garnish with pepperoncino
